We were standing by our friends when we first met

Laughing and joking when you came and said ‘hello’

I said, “Feels like we have known each other for years”

You replied with a grin, “Maybe”.

Time passed and I started falling for you

Thinking maybe you too feel the same

I told you I love you

You said there are other out there, others better than you

I answered with a sad smile, “I never wanted millions to love me, I just want you.”
