The Sad Truth

She looked at you when you came
Those eyes of yours, mesmerized her
"Love at first sight," she exclaimed
Overjoyed she was
Dancing down the hallway
Suddenly, her sight fell on the mirror
Realizing she was too plain and too fat for you
Her smile faltered
"Maybe, just maybe, appearence doesn't matter much to him"
Her heart called.
She tried connecting to you,
You ignored her.
She tried expressing her love to you,
You ignored her.
She tried and tried and tried,
You ignored and ignored and ignored.
She gave up.
"Looks are all that matters"
You found a gorgeous girl,
Who wasn't even worth it.
She used you, hurt you, broke you completely
You regretted having left the girl who truly loved you
But now it was too late
Being superficial, you couldn't look beyond how she looked
She was gone
You were after all completely worthless!
