Modern Family?

​I have an uncle, let’s call this famous uncle of mine, X. So, Uncle X believes that getting married into the same community as yours guarantees your happiness, be it the fact that the person you get married to beats you up or is only after your money but since he/she is from the same community as yours, you have attained your happily ever. And also, according to Uncle X the only reason people get divorced is because they are from different communities so separating because of violent behaviours or compatibility issues or anything else is completely invalid since you and only you are responsible for keeping your marriage together and the other person can be a drunkard or unemployed or completely disrespectful but it is in your hands to keep it together and if you separate from this person then it’s your mistake because the other person is always right.

So, Uncle X also says that girls have too many expectations and demands when it comes to marriage but aren’t guys the same? I would say if a girl has a lot of demands when it comes to arranged marriages then don’t guys as well? Why are things being only restricted to one particular gender.

I used to think boys are bad people but with experience I realised that a gender doesn’t make you a bad person. There are good people in boys and girls equally and bad people in both genders. Just like education doesn’t make a person respectful, gender or community or financial status doesn’t make a person good or bad. A person is good if he/she wants to be and being bad is also their choice. There have been times I have seen highly educated people speaking like idiots and having no respect whatsoever while doing so and I have seen people who are not so educated being very nice then why are people like Uncle X restricting people’s characters and their natures on their community or educational backgrounds or financial statuses. Just because I wad a science student doesn’t mean I can’t believe in God. It’s like asking everybody to work in the field they have graduated in which is rational but not right.

We need out next generation to have better thoughts and better mentality than us and being around such people will just take them generations behind. We are responsible for the world to change, be open minded and go with our pace. There are certain things and people who need to change when some things need to remain the same!
