10 Types of Guys You’ll Meet on Dating Apps

Unless you have been in a relationship with your high school sweetheart, you've probably navigated through dating apps and after swiping left, right and centre, the guys appear more or less the same. I mean come on, it is not the ideal way to get something long term, it works for some people but for others it does not. Let’s talk about the guys that are found in the online dating pool.

1) The Hook- up Guy

This guy is purely here for hook-ups and he is pretty vocal about it. He will mostly swipe to girls around him so it is very easy to just meet up asap and get his hands dirty.

2) The Clingy Guy

This is the guy who might be good on paper or might not be but he will be hella clingy. He will text you incessantly even when he knows you are ignoring him.

3) The Instagram Guy

This is the guy whose bio specifies his Instagram id and quote “not active around here”. Mostly he is doing this for followers or to check out if you are hot enough to be in his league.

4) The Narcissistic

This guy is obsessed with himself even though he looks like a monkey and will constantly remind you how great of catch he is and how beneath you are to him.

5) The YOLO Guy

This is the guy who is not even from you city but he is just “in your city” for today and wants to meet you like this moment, probably to fuck you over.

6) The Committed/Married Guy

Yes, you will find a lot of guys who are married and have girlfriends on dating apps. They will say their wife knows or won’t but apparently monogamy is not their lifestyle

7) The F Boy

So, this might be the most dangerous guy you come across anywhere. They will act all sweet and nice, will keep on pretending they are looking for serious stuff but in reality just want to screw you over. Talk about wolf in sheep skin.

8) The Confused AF Guy

Honestly, he doesn’t even know if he wants to pee or not, let alone knowing what he is looking for on the app and what he wants from you. Boy, bye.

9) The “Just Friends” Guy

He is either looking for just a friend (he probably doesn’t know what a dating app means) or wants to hook up with you eventually under the pretence of a false friendship.

10) The Busy Guy

This is complicated. He is looking for something serious with you if the circumstances were different so you are the one who ends up being confused.
