The Queen of Tattletale

Remember when we were kids in school, you would pull a prank on a teacher and then the teacher would ask you and your classmates whether you all know who did that. All of you would shake your heads but their would be this one person who goes and informs the teacher that it was you. All of you would be angry and you all would stop talking to that person.
Well, this happens to us adults too, doesn’t it? When you share the things which are strictly to be kept secret to a person you think is your best friend and that very best friend snitches on you. Won’t you hate that person for doing so?
I met this girl in college. We became friends and then we became best friends. She was that type of girl who never opened up to new people easily and had this aura of pride surrounding her. Whenever I would get into a fight with someone, I would talk shit about it to her and she cooled me down. I mean- that is normal, that is what people do when they are mad at someone but the words they say are out of anger and not because they really mean it!
Slowly and slowly my friends started fighting with me on accounts that I have bitched about them. I had no idea what they were talking about until one day I saw pictures of my text conversations with her on the laptop of a friend. That is when it hit me! It was HER! She had spilled the beans! I was furious and devastated and wanted to strangle her with bare hands but I could do nothing other than breaking all ties with her. That is what I did.
There was this one thing I noticed though, that adults don’t isolate tattletales as children would do instead they believe in them and ruin their relationships because of them. I guess children are more mature in this case.
